WHAT IS AGILITY?
Agility is a fun activity for both, dogs and humans, where dogs are enjoying jumping, tunnelling or waving through the variable kind of obstacles. Fantastic for body and mind! Prerequisite for joining a group is a vaccination C5 or C3 + kennel cough. Each group demand particular skills. Please read the class description before registering.
AGILITY SCHEDULE
FRIDAY
Agility Level 4

When: 19 March 2021 - 30 April 2021
Time: 8:30 – 9:15 am
Cost: $180 per term (six weeks)
For the more experienced teams, this course works on all things agility, and addresses problems specific to the teams in the class. We also have fun with advanced handling techniques, obstacle discrimination, and the full gamut of obstacles. Teams are really running fast now!
Prerequisites: Instructor permission

We continue to work
on obstacle focus and handling techniques for longer and more complex courses. We also work on proper performance of contact equipment. Things are really starting to click at this level!

Agility Level 2

Cost: $180 per term (six weeks)
Limit of 5 dogs per class

Introduces more obstacles (including weave poles) and teaches new handling techniques for navigating complex courses. We teach the dogs to have better obstacle focus and be more independent.

Agility Beginners​

Time: 11:30 – 12:15 pm
Cost: $180 per term (six weeks)

Limit of 5 dogs per class

For the newbies! This class introduces you to the sport of dog agility and gives you the foundation skills needed to run courses. You'll start training jumps and the tunnel, learn beginning handling techniques, and play on moving surfaces and raised planks to gain confidence for contact obstacles. This class is suitable for dogs of any age, including puppies and seniors, as all obstacles can be modified to make them easier and safer for growing or aging bodies.
SATURDAY
Agility Level 4

Prerequisites: Dogs must be competent with curved tunnels, jumps, triple jump, tyre jump, and 6 weave poles in a channel. Dogs must be able to maintain focus while off leash, and have a reasonable recall.
